While combining these ingredients, oxidation occurs leading to deterioration in quality, performance, stability, etc. To prevent oxidation, chemical compound ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) is commonly used by cosmetics brands as a sequestering agent. However, as a natural skincare brand, Haruharu Wonder uses an all-natural sequestering agent composed of water, sodium phytate and ethanol.
